Afiya Medical Centre
The exterior renovation of Afiya Medical Centre in Hamilton was carefully planned to deliver a modern, clean facade while staying fully aligned with the client’s budget. From the start, our design process focused on value-driven solutions—selecting materials, systems, and details that would maximize visual impact without unnecessary cost.
A key design feature was the strategic use of a batten system, which added depth, rhythm, and visual interest to the facade while maintaining durability and low maintenance. This smart integration enhanced the overall elevation and reinforced the modern aesthetic.
To modernize the building envelope, we proposed a complete facade upgrade using aluminum composite material (ACM) cladding, creating a sleek, contemporary appearance suitable for a medical facility. During the design phase, it became clear that the existing roof configuration limited the effectiveness of the cladding system. As a result, we redesigned the roof and converted it to a flat roof, ensuring full compatibility with the ACM system and achieving a more cohesive architectural profile.
